About Me - The Sordid Past

I hold a recent Computing Science Degree & have almost 7 years experience programming. I obtained an Associate Diploma in Business Computing from Lismore's NRCAE, many years ago & a Level 4 Website Management Certificate from the Blue Mountains TAFE in 2000.

I have mostly worked as a Registered Psychiatric & General Nurse. I started using Cobol in the mid-80s at Telecom when they were a decent company, developing & maintaining batch systems, then 8 months just prior to compling my degree with Trakhealth developing reports using Cache & Crystal Reports (v10). After finishing the degree I spent 15 months testing, designing & developing reports for UXC Ltd using Java. Eclipse is my preferred IDE because of them although Netbeans has a better GUI builder. We used JIRA for bug tracking & Confluence to keep everyone up-to-date & for design requirements

I enjoy image editing & have done so for years & have some examples on Graphics Editing page. I continue building & upgrading specialist computers for clients, friends & family. I'm comfortable with both Linux or Windows but I prefer working woth Open Source

More About Me - The Daggerlee

In case you're interested the dagger in Daggerlee is a love of Shakespeare, particularly Macbeth & theatre in general. Now you should run around your workplace 3 times anti-clockwise. My surname is lee which means sheltered side & it is in my nature to shelter. I was once in a band named Shelter.

My Quirks & Hobbies

I'm called Alfie &/or Rex depending on who is involved, usual difference is work or how long I've known them. I have 2 daughters, both in their teens that I love very much. They are tall, gorgeous & have great senses of humour.

I love theatre & play guitar & sing. I have performed in theatre many times with roles such as Conrad in Bye, Bye Birdie, Sky in Guys & Dolls, Judas in JC Superstar, Sid in Pagama Game & Tom in No, No Nanette. I studied acting for several years. I've performed in many advertisements over the years, including being the "Muncheros Man".

I've also appeared in several soaps that ran in Sydney, some still, usually as an extra but not only. I have a lot of trouble not becoming bored in any job & so have had maybe 30 or more jobs in the past. Being a nurse makes that pretty easy jumping from one job to another & acting is like that as well. I live in a bus in a holiday park.
